Lashes tutorial

1. I always do all my shadow and eyebrows before i begin my lashes. Next, pile up the mascara, but no eyeliner yet.

2. Measure your lashes against your own eye and trim lashes to fit. You want them to begin a little less than a 1/4 an inch from the inside of your eye, and end at the very tip of your outer eye. Be sure not to make them longer then your actual lash line or you will loose the lashes within an hour. (plus they won't look good!)

3. Next you glue! I have used several kinds of eyelast glue, and the best latex glue I have found is "DUO". You can find it at Sally's for no more than $7, and one tube will last you for a long time. I use the bottom of my make up brush and dip into the glue. Then just rub it along the edge of the lash.

4. I like the extra coverage, and use an angle brush to line the lash line with glue as well. Those babies won't move all night! (it needs to be a brush that you later use only for glue, since the glue will never really come off after that)

5. Now the scary part...applying the lashes! Once you have given the glue a minute to get tacky, start on the outside and work your way towards the inside of the eye. Firmly press the false lashes together with your natural lashes.(don't worry the glue dries clear)

6. Eyeliner seals the deal next. You will get a cleaner look with liquid, try to make your straighest line possible along the lash line, being sure to cover the glue.

7. A trick I have discovered over the years is to then go over the liner with a black shadow (matte is best). Use an angle brush to smoothly brush over the liner and to give it a smoky look. You'll find that the liner will stay on perfectly as you set it with a shadow, just as your liquid foundation does with a setting face powder. I use that trick for the bottom liner as well, of course you always want to use pencil eyeliner on bottom, NEVER LIQUID!!

And there you have it! a beautiful eye, ready to last you all night!!! Sorry for the poor quality of these pics, lighting wasnt the best this day, but please feel free to message me anymore questions!
