Going Fall for hair...

I love fall. LOVE it. It's the time of year I start looking for any excuse to wear jeans and scarfs, and drink gas station hot chocalote, even though it's still 85-95 degrees outside in Texas. It's also the perfect time to add some "fall" to your head. Bring on the warm, mocha, and chestnut hues! I've begun changing up a couple of my clients' hair by bringing in the season with deepening their hair colors. I've posted some of my work, plus some other great styles I've seen going around and surfacing.

We have always had Melissa a very beige blonde, and she wanted to deepen it to darker brown without losing all of her blonde. To avoid the dark brown being too stark next to her bright blonde, we added a very warm (almost carmel) blonde in to have a nice blend of rich colors.

Kelly has been blonde her whole life. I actually had teh pleasure to be the very first stylist to add highlights into those virginized hairs. We took her from a very blonde bombshell, to a dark chocolate vixon. I LOVED IT! Her blue eyes popped huge!

Here's some hot fall looks I've stumbled upon lately, and possibly might try out myself!

The "Ombre" look- meaning, two toned hair color, latest is lighter tips and darker new growth...

Nicole Richie , Drew Barrymore

Short and pixed...

Shannyn Sossamon, Michelle Williams

Long and banged...

Arielle

Mrs. Arielle is becoming one of my new people these days, cute girl with an even cuter personalilty. Recently she was brave enough to bleach her entire head herself.....BRAVE. Prior to this she is usually brunette.

her and her adorable bug, Wyett.

As you can imagine, her hairs were achin' from the bleach attack, although it was very cute on her. She did yet another round of shock to her hair when she colored it all over brown again, but it of course faded rather soon after. She came over the other night and we ended up using a low ammonia bleach on her and pulled through scattered high lights and gave her a very thorough cut with lots of texturizing and layering to get some of the ends off. It came out very cute on her and we kept it at an angle.

Hair miracle drug...

So my hair is, in my own way, insanely long. I'm usually one to have shorter, if not barely there hair, and now its down past the middle of my back. With this new found love for long hair, I face a big battle of keeping this long hair healthy, since it's been dead on my head for over two years now (that I've been growing it out!) I've been on the market for a while now trying to find something that would help it to be soft, protected against the drastic heat of my flat iron, but also help with split ends and damage. In comes "It's a 10- Miracle Leave in plus keratin".

This handy little bottle of condioner packs on the dutie of 10 things that help make your hair better:

>Maintence of keratin straightning treatments.

>Increases styling & managablility.

>Perfect for all hair types.

>Replaces lost protein.

>Protects the natural keratin of the hair.

>Protects against heat.

>Restores hydration balance.

>Detangles, Defrizzes and adds shine.

>Strengthens hair structure.

>Seals cuticles for extra silky hair.

I'm super impressed with this leave in and recommend it to anyone that is either growing their hair and want to do it healthily, or someone that may flat iron their hair frequently. Just sprits sparingly over wet washed hair and style as usual! I LOVE IT!!!

She did it, she really did it!!

Before

For those of, you that know my sister Jenny, you already know that she has had the most beautiful natural red hair you've ever seen in person. She has had the some style since she was 15...that was 15 years ago! The truth is, she's kept it so long because she could. Her curls and color go unnoticed by everyone she comes in contact with. It just became time for that "change". We cut off about 9 inches and textured out round layers to give it movement, but take weight out as well. Of course this style would not be possible without the proper products to smooth and straighten her hair. These are a few we got for her.

After

Babybliss Titanium Nano Pro Iron.....in a word, AMAZING. I personally use this iron myself.

Matrix makes a series of lines for specifice hair types, I think the Blow out Extreme Creme works great and holds well. (apply to washed wet hair before blow drying)

Once you've dried and flat ironed it, you can use The Matrix Sealing Serum to seal up any split ends and to lock out moisture.

I would mainly use these products on someone with either really course or curly hair, they may be to heavy for someone with thin, or very fine hair

Amanda

Amanda, or "Manny" as we call here was like a bride that walked straight out of a Martha Stewart catalog. She flew me up to Salt Lake for hair and make up, and I must say it was a much needed trip! I was about 6 months pregnant at the time, so it helped to get away and enjoy the clear crisp mountain air for a weekend. We used extensions on Manny's hair to get that full look and didn't need much for make up, due to her perfect olive complexion. Just simply added lashes and kept the colors light and nectarine tinted. She was by far the prettiest girl out on the temple grounds!

Cambrie

So I think it's fair to say that my little bro got lucky...REAL lucky and actually ended up marrying up! hehe... I had the pleasure of making up my new sister in law, Cambrie. She has been one of my prettiest brides yet. The wedding was covered with citrus filled colors and was held right off Lake Palestine in the cutest little white chapel. I was very impressed and really enjoyed the wedding, especially the DJ! We used about 2 bags of hair on her head if you can believe it, and arranged it in a loosely pinned updo. We kept the make up fairly natural with a little extra smoking of the eyes. Mike did well.
